The central Compartment of the Cover of another Latin Evangelistarium of the Xlth century also of silver gilt and gemmed but of ruder execution. It displays a full length figure of our Saviour, the right hand raised in the attitude of benediction, the left supporting a studded volume the letters A and Q are over his shoulders. At the corners are the emblems of the four Evangelists. Etched by R Girling
